Classmate Update: Andrea Schiers

Although I thought I may leave Idaho right after graduation from high school, I actually stayed around for another seven years and spent them all in the cozy college town of Moscow. Nestled in the golden rolling hills of the Palouse, I spent four years in journalism school and then, once I realized I did not want to be a journalist, spent another three years in law school. In the meantime, I managed to fit in a bit of traveling, and visited London, Mexico, and even the exotic Boise for a summer while I worked for a federal judge there.

As law school graduation drew nearer, I set my sights west of the Cascades and landed a job at the Washington State Court of Appeals in Tacoma. Soon after, I moved the 35 miles north to Seattle, where I've lived for the last two years. Now I work at a mid-sized law firm in a small town a few miles outside of the city, and am often reminded of the places back home that somehow don't seem too far away.

When I'm not working or commuting, I enjoy long talks with my cat, watching TV on DVD, cupcakes, taking the bus, sleeping in, bacon, and, if only in my fantasies, reading non-law-related books.

I look forward to catching up with everyone at the reunion!

RSVP Deadline Extended

Just a quick note to let you know that it's not too late to join in on the fun! We have extended the reunion RSVP deadline to Sunday, August 2nd. Please spread the word to all your friends who are still undecided about attending.

For those submitting an RSVP and event payment by August 2nd, the price will stay at the advertised rate. There will be a slight increase in event costs for those submitting RSVP and payment after August 2nd. If you have already RSVP'd please get your payment in as soon as possible.

Thanks and I can't wait to see you soon! There has been a really positive response to the reunion, and I am anticipating a good turn out.

Please note: There are several classmates who have only RSVP'd to one of the events (either the picnic or the reception). If you don't want to miss seeing any of your old friends, I suggest attending both events. It's not too late to update your RSVP. Just submit a new RSVP form by following the link on the right hand column for the event you'd like to add. You do not need to re-RSVP for the event you have already submitted a form for.

If you have questions, please call me (Dawna) at 208.406.3301

Classmate Update: Dallas Stahle

In the last 10 years, I've had the best time of my life. I've lived in Utah, Taiwan, China and Oregon. It's strange to think that I've never been back to Pocatello to live since I left in '99.

After graduation, I went to BYU and began studying. I left for 2 years to serve an LDS mission in the Taiwan Taichung Mission, and then returned in 2002 to continue studying. In 2004, I was married to my wife Ashley and we had our first son this year. His name is Lincoln Dallas Stahle.

I graduated BYU in April of 2006 with a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering and have been living in Oregon ever since. Because of my love for Taiwan, I've continued to work with companies doing engineering work in China and SE Asia. It's been such a great experience for my family and we've been able to live there as well for various assignments.

Currently, I work for Tyco Electronics in the Portland, OR area and travel to China about 3 times a year for work. We love the North West and have been able to enjoy so many hobbies out here. We are able to visit the coast and mountains, spend time camping and hiking as well as playing soccer, volleyball and running. I'm excited to return to Pocatello and see old friends and reconnect. Be sure to also check out my family blog for more updates and pictures of my family. http://thestahles.blogspot.com/index.html See you in August!

Classmate Update: Lynette (Jorgensen) Paulsen

After graduation, I went and was a nanny in Houston, TX. I then came home and worked at Molinelli's Jewelers in Pocatello. On March 9, 2002, I married Shane Paulsen and then soon after, I went to work for Wells Fargo Bank. In June 2003, we welcomed our 1st son, Terick, and I quit working in December 2004. I started a daycare in my home and in May 2005 welcomed son # 2, Gavin. I am pretty boring. I still do the same thing, 4 years later... In February 2007, I had a third little boy, Jhett, and then we decided to have one more and... SURPRISE!!! there were two. After upgradeing our house and buying a Suburban, we brought home Kaden and Skyler in September of 2008, yes, two more boys. The daycare expanded with the house and I now watch 9 kids plus my five most days. Needless to say I am VERY busy, but extremely happy! Life is great and I love spending time with my husband and my five little men.

I can't wait to see everyone at the reunion!
